Estimate Assumptions and Scope
To provide a practical and meaningful estimate, we’ve based our calculations on a set of standardized assumptions and common project scopes. First of all, we assume a need for professional service such as freelancer or agency. While we know certain elements will be essential, there are inevitably factors we don’t know—and others we’re not yet aware of—that could influence your final costs. Therefore, our estimate explicitly focuses on typical professional services delivered by freelancers or agencies, explicitly excluding DIY site-builder solutions. Also, we currently exclude e-commerce websites due to projects’ complexity (will be added in the future). Finally, we disregard regionality and focus on North American market.
We assume your website will utilize a professional CMS, incorporating essential features standard in 2025, such as mobile responsiveness, basic accessibility compliance, and SEO-readiness. Infrastructure setup (e.g., server configuration, hosting) and UX studies or detailed user-experience analyses are not included, as they may significantly vary and aren’t universally required—though we highly recommend considering them. Content creation is also excluded from the estimate, while basic migration of existing content is included by default.
These assumptions are intended to give clarity on what’s included and what’s not, so you can better anticipate additional services or requirements that may affect your project’s overall scope and cost.

Other Considerations
Website Size
- The number of pages significantly impacts total cost.
- Larger websites (50+ pages) require additional resources, including design time, content management, and migration.
Feature Complexity
- Advanced features, such as interactive elements, custom-developed tools, or third-party integrations (CRM, ERP, booking systems), directly increase project complexity and cost.
- A detailed RFP or technical scope is necessary for accurate pricing.
Accessibility Compliance
- Meeting Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards can add approximately $1,000–$10,000 to the total budget.
- Organizations vary in their requirements and sensitivity toward accessibility standards.
Content Creation/Migration:
- Extensive content creation, structuring, and migration can significantly impact cost, typically ranging from $5,000–$15,000+.
- Costs depend heavily on content complexity, volume, and page layout intricacy.
Ongoing Maintenance
- Post-launch support and maintenance, while typically separate from initial project estimates, remain a critical ongoing cost consideration.
- Annual maintenance and support services typically range between $500–$2,000+, varying by project type, vendor type and support depth/SLA.
